Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Effective date: October 16, 2026. This policy explains what TRIPP ("we", "us") collects when you use trippbooking.com and our app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English. We may update it from time to time; when we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email.
1. Information you give us
- Account details: your email address, phone number (if you add one), name, and profile photo if you sign in with Google. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider; if you use a password, it is stored only in hashed form.
- Trips and bookings: destinations, dates, group size, activities you save or reserve, occasion notes you choose to send to an operator, and messages with operators or support.
- Waivers and participant information: names and age brackets of the people in your group, signatures, and answers to operator acknowledgments or quizzes.
- Photos and posts: photos and reviews you choose to share.
- Operator applications: business details submitted by activity operators.
2. Minors listed on waivers
TRIPP is designed for adults. Children's information is only collected when a parent or legal guardian adds a child as a participant on a booking so the activity operator has a valid waiver. In that case:
- The guardian enters the child's name and age bracket and signs on the child's behalf, confirming they have authority to do so.
- We use this information only to complete the booking and waiver and share it only with the operator running that activity.
- We never use minors' information for marketing, profiling or advertising, and we never sell it.
- A guardian can ask us to view or delete a child's information at any time by writing to support@trippbooking.com, subject to records an operator is legally required to keep.
3. Payments
Today most activities are reserved now and paid on-site. When online payment launches, payments will be processed by our payment provider. We never store your full card number; we may keep a limited reference (such as card brand and last four digits) so you can recognise a saved method.
4. Location
If you allow it, we use your device location to find activities near you and show distances. You can type a city instead. We don't track your location in the background and we never sell location data.
5. Cookies, local storage and analytics
- We use essential cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme, save draft searches and trips, and let the app work offline when installed to your home screen.
- We collect basic usage information (such as pages viewed and errors) to keep the app working and improve it. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
- You can clear local storage or cookies in your browser settings; some features may stop working until you sign in again.
6. How we use information
- To create your account, plan trips and make reservations.
- To share the booking, participant and waiver details an operator needs to run your activity.
- To send sign-in codes, booking confirmations, reminders and service updates. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
- To prevent fraud, keep the service secure and meet legal obligations.
7. Who we share it with
We share information only with: the activity operators you book with; service providers who host our app, send email, handle sign-in and process payments on our behalf; and authorities when required by law. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Booking and signed waiver records are kept as long as needed for the activity and for any legal or insurance period that applies to the operator. Other data is deleted or anonymised when it's no longer needed.
9. Your choices and deletion requests
You can view and update your profile in the app, export your data from Settings, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@trippbooking.com. We'll confirm your identity and respond within 30 days.
10. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other U.S. states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, correct it, delete it, get a copy, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we don't do either). We won't discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, email support@trippbooking.com. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf.
11. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password or email codes and tell us right away about any suspected misuse.
